A message from our CEO:

Please allow me to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for trusting us with your most valued treasure — your children — and for allowing us to help them grow both on and off the ice.

Our goal is simple: to invest in stronger minds and healthier bodies for the next generation of hockey players.

I founded Hockey Wellness Initiative after spending more than 25 years in Venture Capital, working alongside some of the smartest and most successful people in the world. One of the most important lessons I learned was the value of strong support systems — networks designed to help founders succeed during both the highs and the lows. My goal is to bring that same model of support to youth hockey.

Thirty-five years ago, I lost a teammate to suicide. I will never forget the tears at his funeral or the first game we played after his passing — and the overwhelming feeling that I wished I could have done something, anything, to help. As a team and as a hockey community, we leaned on one another to get through that difficult time. His memory continues to live on through this program.

I also understand personally what it means to lose your identity as an athlete. I was a standout hockey player whose scholarship opportunity disappeared after an injury sustained while playing another sport. That same summer, I watched a longtime rival get drafted while I struggled to answer a difficult question: Who am I now?

I was fortunate to be surrounded by supportive friends and family who helped me navigate that transition, but I know I needed more. Over the years, I have watched too many families sacrifice everything for hockey, only to find themselves unprepared for the day when their child’s playing career comes to an end.

Our goal is to ensure that every hockey player has a voice. This program is just the beginning. It will continue to evolve so we can provide players with what they need — when they need it, and in the way they need it.

Thank you for your trust and support. We would not be here without you.

We wish all of our hockey families a safe, healthy, and successful season.
